Excellent sharpness and contrast,enhanced by multi-coating every surface and blackening the lens edges, make Tele Vue Plossls ideal for planetary viewing. Each eyepiece's performance is tested at f/4.

With noticeably less astigmatism and lateral colour at the edge of the field, these Plossl eyepieces deliver images sharper then any other 4 or 5 element eyepieces.

The 32mm Plossl has the same true field as the 40mm, but higher magnification, while the latter has very long eye-relief for spectacle wearers. Both these eyepieces deliver maximum field for the 1 ¼ inch format.

The 50mm Plossl is a 'must' for deep-sky fans. this eyepieces has the largest true field possible in a 2" eyepiece holder - 3 times the field area of any 1 ¼" eyepiece! Performance with schmidt-cassegrains is remarkable, since it avoids the image degradations and severe vignetting which occurs when using telecompressors. Long eye-relief for spectacle wearers!
